Wow, I don’t really know how a month goes so fast.
I’m thankful to say that I am feeling significantly better than I was when I shared in my last blog. You all mostly know that summers in San Juan are busy with vacation bible school, which we started 3 weeks ago and is keeping me busy! I have been trying to be more intentional in making time to complete the bible studies I have started. My sister was able to send the study that Pinehills is doing this summer, and I have been enjoying following along as they read through John 3:13-18. I have also been studying a book called Everyday Evangelism by Preston Perry.
One construction team helped complete the pharmacy storage shelves! I have been working this week to get everything organized and ready to go for our next teams.
I also keep working to organize ICU education and other teams that we will be hosting this fall. I feel so early to be working on things happening this fall, but everything takes time.
Nothing too crazy has been happening here. Bianca and I took a trip to Santo Domingo a few weeks ago; we enjoyed dinner, and she and her cousin took me to experience Chinatown.
We have some new faces on our team! Alejandro, Hannah, and family have joined our team, and we are so blessed to have them. I have spent the last three weeks officially trying to make Elsie my best friend! We have matching sunglasses, hats, princess braids, and more! I’m very thankful to have this family as part of our team. I appreciate their hearts for serving the Lord and look forward to working alongside them.
My sister is doing well; she has completed 5 of her 12 treatments! Thank you to everyone who continues to pray for her; she is feeling well through all her treatments and is looking forward to the end.
I have decided to extend my time for another year; there are so many things that I want to see continue to grow and improve, and relationships that we can continue to build.
That’s all for now- a short and sweet update for the time being, and a small thank you to everyone who checked in last month for your kind words and love.
Prayer Request:
