CNP Support Week
In the early 1990s, malnutrition affected half of all children in the communities surrounding the Christian Clinic for Integral Health in San Juan de la Maguana, Dominican Republic. To address this widespread issue, the clinic created what is now called the Child Nutrition Program (CNP) to help recover malnourished children and offer health education for their families. The program still exists today, and we can’t wait to introduce you to some of the families currently receiving life-changing care during CNP Support Week this September 18th – 22nd.
After seeing great improvement in the San Juan area, the CNP is now headquartered in the town of El Cercado where there are still many malnourished children in need of care. You can help us bring lasting change to this community too by getting involved in the following ways:
- Pray for the recovery of children enrolled, for better living conditions through health education, for opportunities to encounter Jesus, and for the program staff and volunteers.
- Shop from our Amazon list or by purchasing any of the items below. Please ship items to Nicole Hoover at 161 Whispering Pines Lane, Millmont, PA 17845 by October 15th.
- Items needed: size 3 diapers, kids non-gummy chewable vitamins, infant liquid multivitamins, baby bottles, and toddler training cups.
- Give funds by becoming a monthly partner or making a one-time gift. The CNP is drastically underfunded after losing a large grant during the pandemic. Please consider helping us reach our goal of $10,000 for program. Donate now!
Be sure to follow along on social media during CNP Support Week for special video interviews and a chance to see how the program is making a difference and bringing hope for the future to so many families. Thank you for considering how you can get involved!
