Fall Board Meeting

In mid-October 2025, the board of directors gathered together in Mt. Pleasant, North Carolina. The board meets in person twice a year. We had six guests from the Dominican Republic join us. Time was spent discussing highlights from the past year presented by each of the committees. There was also time spent for sharing future plans and dreams for Solid Rock International and the Christian Clinic for Integral Health. We are so grateful for the time and wisdom our board of directors dedicate to the ministry of Solid Rock International. The next full board meeting will be in April in Wichita, Kansas.

Volunteer SpotLight: Jim + Mary Blankenship

Jim and Mary Blankenship have been serving with Solid Rock since 1993! What a blessing it is to have people who have seen the progress of this ministry and this community from the start until now, people who have fervently prayed, faithfully served using their skills and knowledge, and given generously to support the work being done here. The Blankenships have made such an incredible impact on this community and our ministry that we are forever grateful for!

When asked how serving with us has made an impact on them personally, here are the 4 biggest takeaways they have:

1. For 35 years in a world that is constantly changing, the clinic has been a constant. Different people have come and gone, but the vision has remained the same.

2. The relationships — People who have become friends and spiritual mentors who have inspired us to be our best selves. Jim and Dorine were some of the most incredible people to get to know and learn from.

3. If I didn’t believe in God, I’d have no choice but to believe after what he has done here. It’s godly people trying to serve God over decades and the faithfulness of God honoring that work. For us, this has been an earthly demonstration of what we believe. In the midst of a world where there’s so much chaos and confusion this place has been solid.

4. Giving is something that has to be learned and practiced — resources, time, talents, and knowledge. It has to be learned to trust God with offering those things to others.

Thank you, Jim and Mary, for your years of dedication, prayer, generosity, and partnership in this Kingdom work! To God be all the glory!

The Blood Bank

The blood bank has continued to be a great partnership between SRI staff, volunteers and CCSI! Some of our volunteers have even waited until their DR trip to give blood specifically to the CCSI blood bank.  17 people donated for the first time in their life at the clinic.  We received 100 pints of blood in 2025, and our goal for 2026 is 120 pints.

Meet Christian + Madison Powers

Christian and Madison Powers, from Wauseon, Ohio, joined our staff in December. They serve as a Ministry Support Coordinators and are living at the guesthouse. They assisted with their first team just before Christmas while the Utah Health Scholars were in San Juan. The Powers have been amazed with the friendliness of the community. Christian and Madison are enjoying exploring the San Juan area, especially during the holidays.

Please be specifically praying for them as they have begun their spanish lessons and that their time would be fruitful.

Christmas 2025 Party

On Thursday, December 11, our staff gathered to celebrate Christmas and another year of working together to serve the San Juan community! They had a lovely time hearing words of encouragement from Hector and Dr. Odette Canario, they also officially welcomed Christian and Madison to our team, did a gift exchange, and took lots of photos!

We are extremely grateful for all of the incredible people on the ground who make what the ministry of Solid Rock International possible: our ministry assistants, kitchen staff, groundskeeper, guards, and local ministry partners

Happy New Year!
